From 15 to 21 May 2022, in the frames of the Erasmus + ICM program, the members Dr. Vassilis Pagounis, Dr. Dimitris Anastasiou, Dr. Thanos Iliodromitis and Dr. Evangelia Peppa, of the Geodesy – Topography and GNSS Research Unit of the Laboratory of Geospatial Technologies of the University of West Attica, moved to the University “University Of Priština In Kosovska Mitrovica” in Mitrovica, Kosovo.

The aim of the mobility was teaching, exchange knowledge and good practices with colleagues at the University Of Priština In Kosovska Mitrovica in the frames of the Staff Mobility for Teaching action of the Erasmus + program, as well as to explore the possibility of developing new collaborations between the two Universities.

The following activities took place during the trip:

  • 16.05.2022 – Working meetings with the Vice Rector of the University, the president, and professors of the School “Faculty of Technical Sciences” and a tour of the laboratories of the University. Visit to the Erasmus + office of the University.
  • 17.05.2022 – Visit to the area of Prizren with colleagues, Prof. Dr. Nebojša Gadžić, Prof. Dr Saja Kosanović and Assist. Nenad Nikolić of the University of Pristina. Geometric documentation survey on the stone bridge “Dusan Bridge” and the “Monastery of the Archangels”.
  • 18.05.2022 – Lecture to senior students “Coordinate systems and reference in 3D mapping”. Demonstration and 3D surveying at the University with the participation of students.
  • 19.05.2022 – Lecture to students “Use of modern geodetic techniques for the geometric documentation and promotion of cultural heritage monuments”. Laboratory with the participation of groups of students for the processing of the data of the 3D recordings that took place in the previous days ..
  • 20.05.2022 – Laboratory with the participation of groups of students for the processing of 3D data that took place in the previous days. Workshops with Erasmus + representatives and students interested in participating in the program.
